Chakra Treatments to Release your Chakra Energy

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Chakra treatments are based upon the belief held for thousands of yeas in Eastern philosophies, that the universe and everything in it is made up of energy and that includes people. For optimal health and happiness, these energies need to be connected, free flowing and in balance. It is this flow and balance that is maintained through chakra treatments. Even serious illness can be cured through these treatments.

Chakras of the Body

There are seven main chakra points situated around the body. Each of these is situated on an energy path around the body. Therefore, each chakra is responsible for certain aspects of the body and certain moods and characteristics too. It is important to know which chakras to work on to release the chakra energy to deal with specific issues that you may be experiencing. However, it is important to remember that chakra treatments are truly holistic, working on the entire body and strengthening the connection to the entire universe.

What Chakra Treatments are Available?

There are a number of alternative therapies which can be used to free up and balance the energy flow through the chakras. Here are just some of them:

Reiki

Reiki is a very good way to balance your chakras, and also to energize the chakras, healing the body and mind of many ailments. The universal life force is channelled through the Reiki instructor’s crown chakra and from their palms, into the clients receiving the Reiki therapy.

Chakra Massage

Chakra massages, using hot stones placed on the chakra points, helps to improve the flow of energy through the body. Often the stones used in this massage are made of the minerals associated with each specific chakra.

Color Therapy

Color therapy is a natural, holistic approach to balancing the universal energy through the chakras. The basis of using color therapy with the chakras is that the different chakras all resonate to different frequencies which link to the frequencies of the color spectrum. These colors act as switches to activate the chakra energy in all the physical and emotional systems through the chakras.

These are just three examples of chakra treatments. There are more ways to activate and balance the universal energy but these will get you started on the path to holistic physical and mental wellbeing.

Spice up Your Life with your Sacral Chakra

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Your sacral chakra is like a little ‘happy button’ situated about two inches or so below your navel. Its alternative name is Svadisthana. It is associated with joy, creativity and enthusiasm. Having a good energy flow through your sacral chakra will enable you to have a fulfilled and happy sex life too. That is certainly a good reason to work on getting the flow through this chakra.

The Mood Chakra

The sacral chakra is associated with the emotions such as sexual appetite and creativity. An imbalance in this chakra puts your emotions into turmoil and sexual dysfunction. Dealing with an imbalance here can be a way of letting go of control issues and feeling free as a result.

Recognizing the Truth

Liking yourself is sometimes easier said than done, but it is vital to a balance in this chakra. You need to build a good self-image and improve your self-confidence.

That often begins with some quite tough self-awareness, as you learn to recognize and value your feelings. Don’t let your emotions control you; see if you can step outside of yourself a little and understand how you feel and what has caused these feelings.

Balancing your Sacral Chakra

Color breathing is one of the most effective ways of balancing the energy in this chakra. To do this, you need to focus your attention on the spot about two inches below your navel, where you will find your sacral chakra. There you should visualize a warm, deep orange glow, as this is the color associated with this particular chakra. Exercises such as hip rolls and pelvic thrusts will also help to free up your sacral chakra energy.

Take deep breaths, seeing yourself pulling the deep orange glow into your lungs. Imagine the glow being pulled into your body and gently released back to the universe each time you breathe out. As you do this, feel the freedom of being able to move around comfortably in the warm glow, not weighed down by anything. You should feel a renewal of your emotional connection to the universe.

This ability to let go will aid your relationships as you won’t feel guilt, or the need to blame that ruins so many relationships. You will be able to move on from past hurts and find love and satisfaction once more.
